The boys entered “Ming Yang” a Chinese restaurant at the Taj lands end. The otherwise under stated room was decorated with a giant silver dragon and multiple square wooden tables scattered around the cream and grey room. The elegantly dressed hostess led them to a table situated centrally.
“She was fit!” Varun exclaimed as soon as the hostess was out of ear shot. “I think I should explore the possibility of an international relationship.”
“Yes, but realistically how often will you come and see your international girlfriend?”
“Hmm, I see your point, perhaps I’ll be better off with an international fling. So Miss India’s psycho friend, what’s she like?” Varun asked cheekily
“She’s not your type bro…” Raj said panicking, he did not need Varun hurting his chances with Aarti. “Plus I think she’s taken.”
“I’m just kidding, I want a girl I’ll never see again, not one that I will have to constantly see, you know at your wedding, then at the birth of your first child, then at your child’s graduation…”
“Dude I’m not even engaged to her yet and you’re planning my child’s wedding!” Raj laughed.
“I know how quickly you fall in love bro!” Varun teased.
“Let’s order our meal, before you order your suit for my sons wedding!” Raj suggested with a grin on his face.
Raj ushered the waiter over and began relaying their order, just as Varun spotted the prettiest blond girl he’d ever seen across the room on a table for two. Her dinner companion’s chair was facing the opposite direction so Varun had no idea what her date looked like, but she was absolutely stunning. “Dude six o clock, can you see that stunning blond? What do you reckon, international fling?”
Raj laughed “We are in India, how are you spotting blonds?”
“Seriously man, turn around discreetly and have a look.”
“I can’t, it will be far too obvious, I’l go to the bathroom in a bit, and have a proper look. Who is she with?” Raj asked
“I can’t tell, there’s only two of them, but the chair is facing away from us so I have no idea, but I’m guessing its a date. Why would two girls come here together?”
“Dude we’re not dating, and we are here!”
“Fair point. In any case I’m certain I’m better looking than her date.” Varun sat up straighter and put his game face on “Time to establish eye contact!”
